At Chiron Care (UK) Ltd we embrace, support and empower people with Mental Health, Learning Disability, Behavioural and Developmental disorders to live safely in the community and fulfil an active community living.
Whether it is about behaviours associated with social relationship, social communication or an impairment of thoughts our ultimate goal for our residents is to engage in meaningful and sustained recovery. We know for some, this may be difficult to achieve so we offer bespoke care packages to enable the resident build resilience and hope for independent community living.
We offer a range of care interventions in collaboration with Community based mental health and learning disability services in the NHS, Local Authorities and the Voluntary Sector to maximise resident-centred outcomes.
Getting to know each other
Supporting our residents to enjoy every day living at Chiron Care is a key objective for our dedicated team.
We take pride in getting to know each person, so that we are able to tailor our activities and events to suit their strengths, likes and dislikes as well as activities they may want to try to rebuild their confidence.
No two days are the same here. Alongside our usual daily rehabilitation-based activities, we also like to host events which are a little out of the ordinary to create a different atmosphere for our residents
Caring with Empathy
At Chiron Care we strive to deliver the best possible care to the residents based on their individual needs. We believe their environment should be Home away from Home and so much effort is invested in personalising their space through close working with every resident and their families. Notwithstanding the levels of engagement we understand the challenges that residents may present because of their specific circumstances.
Our Caring with Empathy programmes including positive behavioural support, neurobiological interventions and teaching are designed to ensure a consistent reduction in the duration, frequency and intensity of challenging behaviours. Residents work closely with the team through morning meetings to help us put together responsive innovations and interventions to ensure safety and recovery.
Enhancing peoples Care
The concept of Personalisation acknowledges the need to empower people with mental health and learning disabilities to make choices about their lives and have control in accessing leisure, employment and educational opportunities. The enduring nature of the conditions means the road to recovery can be daunting and never a straight trajectory. People increasingly expect choice in all things. Our residents are not different. So our team of occupational therapist, nurse specialist and therapeutic support staff are there to use their expertise, offering choices at every level so residents can develop varied and enduring capabilities range of coping strategies.
